Rich's Lessons
Rich’s lessons can be anywhere from 30 to 60 minutes. He can teach after school and has available slots on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. He has flexible times and can teach at flexible locations as well. He can teach a student not only how to play their instruments but can also teach them how to write music. Once a student learns the chords or notes, he will teach them how to write their own songs. He can then give them tips on how to perform their music. For example, in the past, Rich has performed with his students to get them comfortable with being on stage as many times as they needed. Once the student is totally comfortable, they can perform on their own. It is this care and open-mindness that sets Rich apart.
If one prefers to learn stagework or learn how to cover a song, Rich can teach it as well. Some examples of a beginning song Rich can teach to a new guitar student are Wagon Wheel and Country road. He has taught new bands how to play the national anthem and “Sweet Child O’ Mine” (Guns and Roses) on multiple instruments as well. He will work with his students until they feel confident about the music they play. The students end up being excited to share what they learn, and this makes them want to learn even more.
